Linkki ticket prices rise 1.2.2024
The new ticket prices will be valid from 1 February to 2 June. At the beginning of June 2024, the charging zones will be renewed and the prices will be revised. However, the most significant changes to the prices will now take place in February.
The aim is to keep price increases for link tickets moderate. The reason for the increases is the worsening financial situation of municipalities and the rising cost of transport. Costs have increased by around 18 % since 2020.
Lowest increase for season tickets, highest for single tickets
The price increases apply to ticket products in all payment zones A-D. The increase is lowest for season tickets and highest for single tickets, which can be bought in cash.
Exceptional pricing for senior citizens (65 years and over) during the daytime hours of 9.00–14.00 will be abolished from 1 February. Seniors will be able to travel at a reduced value ticket price, the same as for young people and students, at all times of the day.
Season tickets will only be available in 4 zones. Bicycles and electric bicycles (non-folding) will be charged a fee of €2 for transport on Link. From 1 February, the new Waltti travel card ordered online will be subject to a €5 fee, the same as at other points of sale.
