Lasten Lystin spring takes families to culture

Humor and puppet theater festivals at the beginning of the year
At the end of January, the Castle Theatre of Tatu and Patu (elämä ja teot) performance will arrive in Jyväskylä. One of the three performances is already sold out. Tickets are on sale in the online store of the city of Jyväskylä while they last.
A Finnish modern puppet theater is available in Jyväskylä for both children and adults when the first Seminaarinmäki puppet theater festivals are organized on February 9-11. Lasten Lystin performance at the festival will feature Little Princess - the hero of all mischief makers (Prinsessa Pikkiriikki – kaikkien tuhmuroijien sankari), based on the humorous book series of the same name. Tickets for the show are on sale in the online store of the city of Jyväskylä.
Events for all ages from children to grandparents
During the ski holiday week, there are many events. The Vaajakoski's film event is for people of all ages. Films such as Kiljuset (S) ja Hamsterit (K7). The Paviljonki also hosts the wonderful WinterLight event of the City of Light.
Community village events are held in the Korpilahti area during the spring, where families with children as well as grandparents are welcome. Families with babies are taken into account at the Jyväskylä Art Museum in the Vauvan Vinkkeli exhibition and its accompanying events. Jyväskylä's birthday week in March has a variety of events on offer. In May, there will be a cheerful and free summer opening event in Lounaispuisto, where Maisteri Molto, known from YLE's children programs, will perform with their band.
Lasten Lystin will culminate in a new big summer festival for the whole family on 7-11 June, 2023, when a diverse cultural event will be organized in Jyväskylä. The name contest for the children's festival is underway on the Lasten Lystin website until on 10 February. The program of the festival will be published in April.
