Payment zones

Before purchasing a ticket, check the payment zones through which your journey will pass.

Linkki public transport has three payment zones: A, B, and C. Zone A is located around the center of Jyväskylä, while zone C is furthest from the center.

The ticket you purchase must be valid for all payment zones through which your journey passes. A continuous journey covering several zones cannot be paid for in parts or by combining different ticket products. Depending on the departure point and destination, the ticket can be

  • a 1-zone ticket (A, B, or C)
  • a 2-zone ticket (AB or BC)
  • a 3-zone ticket (ABC)

A single-zone ticket is the cheapest option, with the price increasing for each additional zone. The price is also affected by the ticket product selected and the passenger's customer group/age.

Where can I check the payment zones?

  • The route guide shows the zone letter symbol next to the stop name.
  • The Jyväskylä map service shows the location of the zones on the map.
  • The Linkki service point can provide guidance on matters related to the location of the zones, if necessary.
